This was my first anatomical drawing of this “series”. We have access to this amazing bank of photographs for my anatomy course. I used it to jump start my next project. My mom inspired me to do this. She loves to draw, and she recently made it her goal to draw everyday, no matter how big the drawing or what she was drawing. The fact that she can keep her words, even though she is a very busy woman, motivated me to draw not everyday, but almost everyday.
Last year, on SBN, I showcased my series on recycling and waste items. I had a lot of fun narrating my story and my intentions with that project. I hope to do something like that this year but keeping it more on theme with my studies. I can’t wait for what’s to come. I hope to make myself proud by the end of the year and to inspire at least one other person. That’s all for now.
I think I found my calling…I LOVE MY ANATOMY CLASS. I sound like a complete nerd but even the textbook is pretty cool… The anatomy lab where we got to look at cadavers was incredible. I never thought I would get to touch and handle real human organs and bones! The first day of class (not going to lie but I felt a little faint), everyone gathered around the cadaver and we all got to hold a human heart in our hands!!!
I’ve dabbled in anatomical drawings before but I never found any good resources to draw from (imagine my search engine history: “human hand without skin”) and frankly, I didn’t know what I was drawing. I am so grateful for my prof and all the resources that he has given us.
This week we are learning about the human brain. Oh boy, there’s at least like 89190481 different structures that we have to memorize. I labelled like 3 things in my drawing. Kudos to people studying medical illustration. You have my admiration.
Ttyl. Back to making small doodles of the brain and all its lobes, gyri, sulci, and other good stuff. 💪
This is a quick little doodle I did over the summer.
This summer was the time of many first’s, like my first full-time job and my first time paying rent. I was incredibly lucky to have a job with a boss who trusted and valued me so much. I also learned how hard it is to earn money and how easy it is to spend. If I look many years ahead, there’s also this ugly thing waiting for me called: STUDENT DEBT.
Whoever you are and wherever you are, we all have different relationships with money. And no one can quite understand what another person is going through.
I started blogging in grade 9 or 10… I remember wanting to be internet famous yet remain completely anonymous because I was scared my friends and family would stalk me online. I am a perfectionist, and I didn’t want ANYONE I know to see my website until I perfected everything and essential became famous. I’d say neither is true as I’m creating this website but I’ve gained enough confidence over the years to let people witness my not-so-great moments.
I really missed creating content and having a platform to discuss things I’M interested in. I decided to stop posting on my other blog because the format was too limiting (LINK if you want to see some cool art and read my cringy writing). It’s great to be back. Give me a follow if you are interested in lifestyle blogs and random doodles! Talk to y’all later.
